The Life of Mara
By:Mara Mueting
For this selfie project I took photos of the things that I enjoy and represented me. By using five different photos to make five different layers, I completed a selfie collage. My first photo I took was of my big, grey, dog, Winston. He represents the positivity In my life. Even when Winston gets knocked down he always gets back up without even thinking about what had just happened. For my second photo, I took a picture of a sun flower growing in my back yard. The sunflower portrays all the beauty around me. Even when I don't notice it, the sun flower is always there. The third photo in my collage was a picture of raspberries. We went to a raspberry farm last weekend so I decided to take a picture of what we picked. The raspberries were meant to be a sweet little touch to my collage. You always need a little sweetness in your life. I took a picture of my amazing cat, Jim for the fourth layer. He is the drive for adventure inside of me. Jim is always interested in exploring the world around him. Last but not least, I have another picture of flowers, I saw them outside and needed to take a picture of them. These flowers are the mystery. You never know when or why something will happen, just like these flowers.

For my double exposure I chose a picture of the sea in Corsica as my backround. Compared to my first selfie I think that this one is better because It looks more natural since there is only one layer of the sea. I chose this quote by ralph waldo emerson because It means to just live your life to the fullest. It is a good message both metaphorically and literally. In middle school I also went to Emerson School in Ann Arbor so this quote means a lot to me.
